Your donation supports our work to promote local, organic food and farming.

When you make you make a donation to NOFA-NY, you’re supporting our programs and services that assist farmers.  Our on-farm and in-classroom educational programs, mentoring and apprenticeship programs, technical assistance help-line, and two annual conferences provide resources to more than a thousand farmers each year.

Your donation also supports our efforts to educate thousands of consumers about the value in buying local, organic products and connect consumers with local organic and sustainable farmers through projects like our Locavore Challenge, annual Local and Organic Food and Farm Guide, quarterly New York Organic News magazine, statewide CSA Fairs, and CSA subsidy program.

Lastly, your donation enables us to advocate policies that promote a sustainable food and farm system such as pushing for passage of a federal Farm Bill that better serves small and mid-size organic farmers and a statewide bill that requires all GMO ingredients and products sold in New York State to be labeled.

NY GE Food Labeling Campaign.

GMO Free NY has allied with Food & Water Watch, Northeast Organic Farmers Association--New York (NOFA-NY), Sierra Club Atlantic Chapter, Natural Resources Defense Council, New York Public Interest Research Group (NYPIRG), Consumers Union, Catskill Mountainkeeper, Fire Dog Lake, Good Boy Organics, Green Party of New York, and Brooklyn Food Coalition to form the NY GE Food Labeling Campaign.

We are advocating for the passage of A.3525 (Rosenthal) / S.3835 (LaValle) in 2014, legislation that would require the labeling of genetically engineered seed, seed, stock, and food offered for retail sale in New York.

Donations to this campaign would enable the coalition to proactively advocate for ethical food labeling. You are welcome to make your donation using any of the three methods detailed below. Please include "NY GE Food Labeling Campaign" in the memo portion on your check donations to the Campaign.
