Thanks to everyone who was apart of the 2012 NOFA-NY Winter Conference! This year we had a record breaking crowd of nearly 1,400 people! Our theme for our 30th Annual Conference was the Cooperative Economy, and the farmers, gardeners and friends of organic farming from the from all over showed why this was such an appropriate theme by making it NOFA's most impressive conference to date. To go along with he over 80 technical workshops offered, this years keynote speakers included: John Ikerd, a Professor Emeritus of Agricultural Economics at the University of Missouri, Kathlyn Terry, executive director of Appalachian Sustainable Development (ASD), and the 2012 NOFA-NY Farmers of the Year Paul and Maureen Knapp.
