Albany CSA Fair

Event Details

March 3, 2012
Location:
First Unitarian Universalist Society of Albany, 405 Washington Ave, Albany, NY
Time:
1:00-4:00pm

We at NOFA-NY are currently in our second year of a project to promote Local Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) in New York.  While the buy-local movement is growing, most people are still not familiar with CSAs. Not only do CSA farmers need to sell the benefits of local food, but they also need to explain the CSA model. To assist New York's CSA farmers, NOFA-NY wrote and received a grant to support a series of annual CSA Fairs in different parts of the state to promote regional food, publicize local CSAs, and encourage consumers to enroll in a CSA near them.

The March 3rd CSA fair in Albany will be located at the First Unitarian Universalist Society of Albany. This church will also be helping promote this year's Albany CSA Fair.

If you are a farm interested in being apart of the fair, you can find more information here: http://www.nofany.org/sites/default/files/CSA%20Fair%20Reg%20Form_1.pdf
