"Changing the Way We Eat"
FarmAssist Productions Official Viewing Party for TEDxManhattan
The lead sponsor of TEDxManhattan "Changing the Way We Eat" in New York City is The Glynwood Institute for Sustainable Food and Farming. The local viewing party at Stageworks in Hudson, NY will be hosted by FarmAssist Productions. The one-day event will highlight many aspects of the sustainable food movement and the work being done to shift our food system from industrially-based agriculture to one in which healthy, nutritious food is accessible to all. This viewing party is co-sponsored by Stageworks, Rob Johanson and Midhudsonmedia, Columbia County Chamber of Commerce, Hawthorne Valley Farm Association and Strongtree Organic Coffee Roasters and would not be possible without their generous help.

TEDxManhattan will be hosted by Laurie David, author of The Family Dinner: Great Ways to Connect with Your Kids, One Meal at a Time. The impressive list ofspeakers includes farmers, chefs, researchers, academics, activists, artists/creatives, health professionals, educational professionals, foodies and TEDsters.

The day will include ample time for attendees to network with each other. The hope is that in bringing different groups of people working on the same issues together, that new partnerships and collaborations will naturally emerge and speed the growth of the good, clean and fair food movement in the Hudson Valley Bioregional Foodshed.
