This documentary film covers the controversial issues involved with natural gas drilling in the United States, and the Halliburton-developed drilling technology called "fracking," or hydraulic fracturing that is currently under intense political debate in New York and elsewhere. The filmmaker, Josh Fox, looks into the "secrets, lies, and contamination" of fracking in this "part verite travelogue, part expose, part mystery, part bluegrass banjo meltdown, part showdown" known as Gasland. We are thrilled to host a Q & A session following the screening with actor and activist Mark Ruffalo and Catskill Mountainkeeper Wes Gillingham.
