7 AM-7 PM More than 1,000 people are expected to attend the 2012 Long Island Small Farm Summit to be held at Hofstra University. The event will feature a full day of educational presentations, interactive workshops, as well as two vibrant keynote speakers: Will Allen of Growing Power and Chef Ann Cooper, The Renegade Lunch Lady. The Summit is an on-going effort to cultivate active community support of sustainable, local agriculture.
Hofstra University is a private institution of higher learning for more than 12,000 students. The campus is 240-acres, 25 miles east of New York City, and accessible by train or bus.
