NOFA-NY was founded in 1983 by a group of dedicated farmer volunteers. Thirty years later volunteer involvement is still an important characteristic of how our organization operates.
Volunteering at NOFA-NY is a great way to further the goal of creating a sustainable food and farm system in New York State. There are dozens of specific tasks that you can do to help us achieve this goal.
Some of our most frequent volunteer needs are for:
-Assisting with general office support (Rochester area)
-Hosting a Field Day
-Distributing our New York Organic News and other NOFA-NY materials in your area
-Helping at our conferences
-Writing an article for our New York Organic News
