Farmers interested in certifying livestock or transitioning their dairy to organic production may submit applications at any time; however, field inspections cannot be performed during the winter months.

If applications are received from November through February, an initial review of your application and inspection of your facilities may be performed during the winter, but an additional inspection will be necessary to inspect the fields during the growing season. You will be billed for this additional field inspection.

Farmers may contact us to begin discussions regarding dairy/livestock certification at any time during the year.

The entire certification process normally takes about three months from the receipt of a complete application.
