Resolutions
Each year at our annual membership meeting, NOFA-NY members vote on political policies for NOFA-NY, Inc. to follow. The Policy Sub-Committees work on drafting new resolutions each year. In addition individual members may also propose policies for the membership to discuss and approve. Proposed policies are drafted, discussed and formally approved by both the Policy Committee and by the Board of Directors each fall and are then published in the winter issue of the NOFA-NY newsletter for consideration by all of the members of NOFA-NY at the January annual meeting. A 2/3 majority vote is necessary for passage of a resolution.
All active members are encouraged to submit proposals for NOFA-NY Official Policy Positions and participate in the open discussions, and on policy committees. To submit suggested policies or to volunteer to join a Policy Committee, email the Policy Coordinator.
The menu to the left lists by year Policy Resolutions which have been passed by our Membership from 1998 though the present.
