  • Food Animal Concerns Trust is offering emergency mini-grants for livestock and poultry farmers whose businesses have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Farmers may request of up to $500 for materials, services or equipment that would help them to transition to an online or alternative sales strategy, or for other projects that would help their farm business to maintain sales during this crisis.   • The Adirondack Council and Essex Farm Institute have recently updated their micro-grant program to allow farmers, value-added producers and food pantries to apply for COVID-19 related emergency funding during this grant cycle. Deadline is April 7. Apply here.
  • American Farmland Trust Farmer Relief Fund - AFT's Farmer Relief Fund will award farmers cash grants up to $1,000 each to help them weather the current storm of market disruptions caused by the coronavirus crisis. Initially, eligible applicants include any small and mid-size direct-market producers. Applications are now available in English and in Spanish on AFT's website here.
