10:00am – 12:30pm

Public demand for raw milk continues to grow, creating new opportunities for organic dairy producers. Join Jerry and Dorothy Snyder for a look at what it takes to become a permitted raw milk dairy in New York State. Jerry will walk through the application process step by step, including paperwork, milk and water testing, and inspections. Visitors will also get a chance to see the safety measures taken to ensure that Sunny Cove’s products are the highest quality available. NYS raw milk permit application packets will be available for attendees and lunch will be provided, so pre-registration is strongly encouraged!

Sunny Cove Farm is a small grass based family dairy farm producing high quality milk since 1977 in Alfred, NY (in Allegany County). Dotty and Jerry Snyder transitioned to organic milk production in 2002 and are also certified producers of organic beef, organic maple syrup, English walnuts and organic apples.
