Position Description
Asgaard Farm & Dairy is a goat dairy, creamery and diversified livestock and poultry farm nestled in the breathtaking Adirondack State Park. We are part of a vibrant agricultural community within close proximity to the High Peaks.

We intensively graze 60+ milking does and a 100% grass-fed beef herd alongside our broiler chickens, meat ducks and laying hens, which provide fertility and parasite management for our pastures. Our creamery produces seven distinct award-winning cheeses, caramels and soaps. We also raise pigs in our woodlands and they are fed whey from the creamery. The farm is proud to use organic management practices and be certified Animal Welfare Approved. Asgaard is a sustainably managed farm driven by regenerative farming methods, totally committed to renewable energy use and conservation practices necessary to respond to the climate change challenge.

The internship program is an exciting and at the same time demanding total immersion diversified farm experience. Interns help with the full range of dairy and creamery production tasks alongside experienced farmers and cheesemakers responsible for the operations at Asgaard.

The application review process is from December, 2019 through February, 2020. Internships run from the beginning of May through the end of October, 2020, although earlier starting dates are possible.
